  Tom Bock's Bio
      Tom Bock is an award-winning Senior Systems Analyst and Consultant with over 15 years experience in the commercial and government sector. He has an acknowledged reputation as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and change agent for leading business transformation efforts to improve data & technical processes across global enterprises.
      Presently, Tom is employed by SAIC as a senior modeling & simulation analyst. In this capacity, he assesses the operational effectiveness and suitability of joint and naval acquisition programs during structured initial scope and follow-on operational test and evaluation. Before joining SAIC, Tom worked for BAE Systems (supporting the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command) where he developed a comprehensive roadmap synchronized with the Army Data Board, the TRADOC Knowledge Management Strategic Plan and Campaign Plan. On other DoD programs (with Scientific Research Corporation and The Sigmon Group), Tom led all data management and planning activities for several joint tests and provided IT solutions in support of NATO's strategic realignment process.
      As a consultant, Mr. Bock has worked with several top consulting firms providing project management and systems integration expertise. He has directed many project activities by designing, developing, and enhancing information and knowledge management systems. As a member of Accenture's team, Tom worked closely with executive staff managing client relationships, facilitating the problem-solving process, and designing customized IT solutions for Fortune 500 companies.
      Tom received his B.S.B.A. (with distinction) degree in Information Systems and M.E. degree in Modeling and Simulation from Old Dominion University. Currently, he pursues his Ph.D. in Engineering Management from ODU. His research studies are focused on identifying and evaluating factors that are symptomatic for disruption of ongoing DoD transformation objectives as well as continuous process improvement initiatives within strategic headquarters.
